on Windows, the usual method is simple :
1- install the latest version over you current installation
2- re-select your Profile if you had created one

And you should not change to -2 , but to -1. If it's already on -1, then your issue is not related to that.

Download the patch (not the demo), and in your profile .ini , add this line, under [Sound] :
Coop = 2
You should then hear sound even when the game window doesn't have the focus.
