2 things to try :
- try to press Shift + FN key + F1...12
- configure your laptop so by default F1 is F1, and you need to press FN to get the special functions (ie: light, etc.)

you won't have any problem, and for tournaments, it'll be easier to know you are 2 persons if each of you has his own key. So don't worry about anything, just let know the Tour Mods you & your brothers will play the tournaments with the same IP.
