I have to somehow agree with you, even at 200 delay tops that safe strike is avoidable, but anything bigger than that number ruins the gameplay. It becomes a serving-winner lottery, not fun at all. With bigger delays i see more aces as well, it feels like the ball travels faster than in lower delay...
