Mana Games' site has been hosted more than 5 years by Powweb, but one day, they suspended it, without any warning, stating it was using too much bandwidth, or ressource, or anything, as they didn't want to specify in a clear way..!

That's what Powweb do : borderline false advertising, and suspend your website without 2nd thought.

They tell you they offer "UNLIMITED Disk Space + Data Transfer / Bandwidth", but that doesn't mean there's no limit. It means there's no stated limit ! So once you reached that invisible limit, they just stop to provide their service without any warning, and without any clear explanation.

So be warned if you consider to use Powweb's services, don't do it for anything except a very small hobby website that you don't care seeing taking down without prior notice.

Powweb is owned by "Endurance International.com", which owns other Hosting services as well. We'd more than recommand to avoid all of them. Endurance is so pride of their acquisitions and commercial methods that they forbid to associate their name to Powweb in the Powweb's Forum. That tells a lot on their mentality and fairness.

Everything stated above is true on September 2010. Maybe Powweb's service, EULA, ads or owners changed since then, but we'd still recommand to avoid them at all cost.

If you're looking for a cheap hosting service, give a try to OVH.fr or .com . Their customer service is quite poor, but considering their extremely low price : you get what you pay for.
