How to Keep Mods after a New Update ?

Postby MBM » 01 Sep 2009, 22:13

I have edited EVERYTHING! the players, the tournament categories and and the tour. When I download a new version, will it change them back to the way they were??? If yes, how can I go about installing a new version, but keeping these edits the same and not losing m saved games?

Hello,

just :
1- do a backup of the files you modified
2- install the new version
3- restore your modified files

More safely, you can do a backup of your whole TE2009 directory before to install the latest version.

MBM, like I said : "do a backup of the files you modified".
Hopefully, you remember what files you modified...

And then install the latest version over your current version, so it'll keep your saved game. They'll become invalid coz of difference in tourneys & players, but will become ok again after u'll have put your modifications back in place.

one way would be to copy your files to another folder
Tour Mod.

Tour issues by PM or Discord
If you don't send me a PM or DM, you might see your chances reduced. Inform me about anything that might have gone on with your matches BEFORE deadlines, otherwise, decisions won't be changed.

It's "Data\Players.*.Ini".
If you already modified it, you should know where it is... ;)

jenks10s, even your saved games are gone ? Did you install the last version over your current installation ?
You have Windows, not Mac OSX, right ?

Yeah, it's no problem though. I'll just start over. Hopefully I can figure it out next time.
