with his preview posts, regarding the quality of the content, looking forward to it patiently.

This is what i said about it the other day..

I always thought that the Big Modders status was earned by the fact that people who received it could Mod? And have proved over time (even a short space of time) That they are bloody good at what they do. The Big Modders, who i have had the pleasure to download their work from have always deserved that Status..

Look!! I have respect for all Modders :jap: They are far better than me! At least they try to Mod, unlike Myself! All i am saying is this, the Big Modders status should be earned from Excellent Work and NOT given just so their first posts can be edited!

The Big Modders status is becoming a Joke these days!

Influent, it's that guy that says:
Oh, ''Example'' is the best animaker here, and everyone says, yes, he is the best, makes the people change it's opinion, & everyone loves him (o almenos antes de ''eso'').

megyaem30 wrote:the only thing I tested of Heinrich i like it alot, I can talk about the other stuff, videos and all that, i didnt tested, but I understand, if he creates a patch, I thing he takes is time to do all the work he need. Its like Sam release some previews of his Megapatch and then we demand him to release it all now!!, with no consideration of the time and effort he put. So I dont know, maybe we can wait a little bit for this mod.
But now, about we can discuss here is the "new mod" , I see yesterday some reaaaaally , ugly courts, I dont know, I did courts too,not better like the quality of rogerfed or crel or rounders, but I have an idea on how to make it, I dont know what this guy was thinking when he release this:
courtd.jpg

Yeah megy, i agree in the whole post, nothing to say.

The problem is, the old guys are leaving the Forum, the ''Kersou's'' & ''Torto's'' are not more here.
Tutorials (made by ''pros'' like the anim's one) would be great for this...... don't you think :?:

Sure, but not about MY big modder status.
You know i have no chance to get it now, the only chance would be a ''Alma caritativa con ganas de donarle a alguien que hace courts podridas'' :?:
Ojo, me estoy burlando de mi mismo

Yes, it's true, when I started my wasn't exactly of a brilliant standard:

I also took a long time to stop making some bad mistakes with outfits (e.g. shoes) because I wanted to get things done quickly.

I think the thing that is the most annoying thing to see is when someone starts a new thread with poor quality textures: block colours drawn in paint or youtube-paste courts (not naming any particular examples) and all of the responses gush with over-the-top praise as if it were the greatest thing ever posted, which doesn't exactly encourage the modder to improve.

The other thing that is a shame, is that I tried to help out various people starting out modding this year and posted several tutorials and templates, but, as of now outfit making in particular has just gone backwards.

Torto, this shirt was edited in paint, right?
Is it one of the first shirts you've made? Or first at all.
If it was the first one, it's perfect.

"all of the responses gush with over-the-top praise as if it were the greatest thing ever posted, which doesn't exactly encourage the modder to improve."
That sentence is very sad, but also very true.

I would also say that - I've learnt how to edit clothes by observing the way you make your clothes, but it needs some time to understand (4-5 minutes) where the sleeves are, in which places the front and back of a shorts/shirt are touching each other etc. etc. It is small effort, but many people are even not trying to check how the things should be done (like one poster did with placing collar on the lower part of back). Not to mention that some new "modders" are not posting previews, so it looks like right after they made something in paint, they're uploading it here, without even checking what they made and how does it looks like on a model.

No Photoshop, just not being used to anything like its full potential :P

I imitated what I saw at the time, which was Jaydraco. After a few shirts done in that style I decided I wanted to add more detail.

Not the very first no, that was this:

This is exactly it, some designs can require hours of fiddling around to get everything in the right place and it can be less straightforward than it initially seems due to the weird quirks of the the models (e.g. collar texture duplicating part way the down the back of the shirt :? ).

@Torto So I guess that the most difficult shirt to make was Stepanek's Davis Cup?
I've spent 15 minutes to place the lion on UK's DC shirt in right place, and I am still not satisfied with final result.

All I can say after seeing that red shirt is that we have similar start with making shirts :) I've also copied the front of a shirt on a base, used some warp tool and that's it :) But that's not the way :)

And wow - I was never able to make such straight lines in photoshop :D Especially with brush size = 1 :) You've used pen tool to make them? :)

This was before I knew how to make lines with the pen tool!
Btw, to make straight line with the brush, just hold in shift, click the beginning point of the line and then the end point and it will drawn in-between for you.

I've never done a Stepanek shirt, actually, I think Sam/Draco did that one.

I remember this one taking a very long time (although I think I would find it easier now):

^ Oh, I've never used shift :D But I know about pen tool for some years now as I need it for some other things in the past.
And that shirt is quite difficult - I hate more complicated shapes haha, but as long as I can use skew tool, I am fine with it :)

I dont think is only bout you, as I say to you in pm, you need to focus more in what you want to do, I know that you can do it, just take your time, ok? and dont post more of those ugly stuff ':D you can do it better.
i think that around the last years, some self-called Modders or "Big modder" appears,as miharu said, if you look around the pages in this forum, youll see five millions of topics about new mods, but non of them do quality mods, not even a decent one.

I absolutely agree, I know that manutoo have no intention on change that, but he need, maybe, one guy who start to Mod, can open a survey in his topic asking: Do you like this Mods? or Im able to reach Big Modder status? or something like that, and based on what people choose(YES/NO),he can asked for the status.
Im just sayin, I know that if manutoo read this he will say: do you like to asked you who is able to be Big Modder?
but I dont know, is just an idea.
