R1 Maria Kirilenko def. MarkChan 6/0 6/1

It is Chinese Lunar New Year Holiday this week, so I was hoping for a better run in this tournament as I have ample time to play. Unfortunately I drew arguably the toughest player. His incredible slice solves my attacks easily.

I think I could play better still. Poor net putaway from me and touching his out passing shots again and again. Gl to him in the rest of the tournament and cya all in Dubai.
