R2 Heinrich von Westphalen vs. Shempa

Postby Heinrich von Westphalen » 25 Aug 2014, 08:00

R2 R Heinrich von Westphalen def. Shempa 6/1 6/0

Odd result compared to his good and solid performance on court. Maybe hard angles created substantial problems in his resistance to get a better result. I'm sure he'll fix it soon which will make him much more dangerous in upcoming matches. Thanks for playing a fair and good match and good luck to you.

QF Heinrich von Westphalen vs. LetsGoBro

Postby Heinrich von Westphalen » 25 Aug 2014, 14:59

QF R Heinrich von Westphalen def. LetsGoBro 6/2 7/5

Really tough match ... but I expected a hard opponent after Viggys embarrassing opening round. Absolutly great performance although both of us struggled with high ping (~380ms) and some blushing double faults by our partners at BP. I'm sure he'll give a lot of top players a fight in future, especially on flat surfaces which will supporting his incredible short slices. Thanks for the enjoyable and fair fight and wish you all the best.

Reserve R3: LetsGoBro def. [14]Kimiko Date Krumm 6-1, 6-3
Not as easy as it looked. Would have been much closer if Kimiko reduced the errors. GG and GL.

Reserve QF: [7]Heinrich von Westphalen def. LetsGoBro 6-2, 7-5
Completely different match-up altogether. My original game plan didn't work on him so I was left out in the dark throughout most of the match. Started to pick it up mid way through the second set, but it was too little too late. Had multiple chances to break to go into a tiebreak, but it wasn't to be. GG and GL.

Hey, I just want to let you know that i am going away tomorrow morning and i will be back next friday...of course that means that the doubles tournament is over for me because i can't play till then, and that is too late considering the fact i haven't managed to play any reserve matches, especially talking about the R16 and the QF's...couldn't arrange a match with my probable opponents for these matches, Zugzwang and Sheraz (with all due respect to their possible opponents) so there is nothing more i can do...whoever is my opponent in R16, give him the WO right away mods :jap: I am sorry that it happened, but it is my fault that i didn't play those reserves  It sucks really much because almost the same thing happened to me at Wimbledon and i couldn't fight there too for my first GS title since i had to travel for a week...so, another GS goes in the wind for me :applause: I just hope that the same thing (that all the matches in my part of the draw when i left were decided by RL's or WO's) won't happen here like it did in Wimbledon   Anyway, see you all next weekend, have a good tournament! :D

R3 Heinrich von Westphalen vs. Maryanucci

Postby Heinrich von Westphalen » 01 Sep 2014, 08:54

R3 Heinrich von Westphalen def. Maryanucci 6/0 6/0

I know his exceptional abilities in this game, but in some kind he couldn't adapt it to doubles event. Short cross slices aren't still enough ... but I'm sure he will be better next time. Good game and good luck.

R3: ShoNe95 vs. Mido Nadal - 6/0, 6/0 . . . He is very unfair player.

In 1st set, he won 4 points and in 2nd set, he started to serve from corner (and won 7 points (5 aces)). During the match, he spamed chat.
