Why did you play on these settings? You should make that clear to him on beginning of that match.. you could contact mods if you care about it..

lopsa def. Sher@z 6/2 1/6 7/5

Well, there is always the first match of the season. It's unusual to be at the level where one wants to be when it's the first match, and I wasn't even close to that level. I had a good first set, then he started to play very aggressively and I had no length or power in my shots so I was just running around trying to catch as many balls as I could. As the score shows, that didn't work :D Third set was very close, he broke first but I broke back immediately and then I broke to serve for the match at 4-3*, but I couldn't serve it out. I managed to break him at 6-5* to win this match. A very difficult match and it could have gone his way too but I managed to find some depth in my shots in the last moments of the third set so I survived. He played very well and I know he will climb the rankings this season. Good game and good luck!

About the update and new settings, I'm not a fan at this point. My game is based on aggresiveness and controlling the points by taking the ball early, and this update wouldn't let me execute either. I hit every ball I tried to take early either short so he could attack or out of the court. I also had no speed in my shots, I guess my fastest winner was 138km/h when last season they were shooting at around 150km/h. My winner/ue ratio is also very different, usually I have about 10 winners more than my opponent and my amount of ue's were pretty low. Now they are about even, and Shere@z had much more winners than I did. I was a pusher in this match, which I hate. I hope I can find some way to play the same way I played last season and become even better and get to the top 10 or higher. Cheers.

I'd like to say that I like these new settings.
I play as a puncher and I still hit many winners and I am not ultra aggressive, I just play more strategically.I play tennis in real life and I can tell you ,this is the closest to the simulation of tennis.

Yeah I believe you hit many winners but it's a bit hard to hit them for me when my shots go 20km/h less than they used to. And also my shots are now landing short very easily, every time my opponent gets the ball with acceleration over the service line I'm in trouble. I don't know where the problem is, maybe my timing is crap or my court positioning is lazy. I've played competitive tennis for 6 years so it's irrelevant whether someone plays tennis in real life. A game will always be different from real life. However I think this game is the best tennis game on any platform. This beats the crap out of Top Spin or Virtual Tennis or any of those largely marketed games. Realism is something I find very odd to be asking from a game, but if it's very unrealistic or easy it's not fun, I get that. I just think that this game was very entertaining and realistic enough the way it was, but the change has been made. As I said in the voting topic where it was decided that the settings will be different, I will try to adapt to these changes but I'm just afraid I will become a pusher and a defender that only runs after the balls and waits for errors. That is ugly tennis. I hate that. I want to be able to be aggressive and I hope I find a way to do that.

PS Normally I wouldn't be whining here about the changes, but Sampreas asked to leave some feedback in the opening post so I did that. Hopefully everybody understands.

I get your point, but I was just expressing my personal opinion about the game's new settings and by saying "you" I was referring to all the people who read these posts. When I said "this is the closest to the simulation of tennis" I didn't mean that tennis game should/can be completely same as tennis in real life,or that if you play tennis well in real life, you will play it equally well in TE or vice versa . What I meant was that In MY opinion this game is doing a great job as a computer tennis simulation, especially with the new settings.

Oh yeah I didn't understand that :D And I get your point and it is true that maybe it is more realistic this way and if it works for most of you people, hey good for you and "You got lucky!" ;)
