Manutoo will this stay?

Gameplay : left/right speed change is now slightly slower (this will be active Online only after the end of the current Slam)

To be honest i don´t see why you fixed the left/right speed on rematch, since that slow movement will be the one that will stay.. At least with rematch we could test it..

I find it frustrating to play online in some way and offline in other way, i agree with some people who can call it a different game..

I would like to know when this goes ON really, how can you defend a short crosscourt accelleration? with that slow movement its impossible to recover from.... (not that it was that easy previously to start with)

PS. Not only that.. wide serve/topspin or slice, hit to the open court will be the pattern as well :yes:

- Gameplay : racket wingspan was not set correctly when switching from normal strike to slice strike


Manu, Im not sure if the bug is really fixed. Happened to me a few times today on backhand no 8 when playing online, the ball just went through my racquet. This time the ball never went through my racquet when I used backhand slice, so that seems to be fixed but it did go through my forehand slice a few times. :whistle:
Other than that, the game is great. Played against an american today with 200 ms and had no delays,no desynchs and no lag whatsoever.

SPC,
left/right speed conversion on rematch was way lower than what it currently is when playing offline, so if you want to train for it, it's best to play against CPU for now.
Even when defending against a short strike, normally your run speed will be near 0 km/h after you finish to strike the ball ; in such case, it doesn't give any difference of gameplay with the previous versions. The difference is only when you move faster than 5.5km/h .

ok, I checked and some balls slightly in the back of our player were not caught ; normally, they should be sent in the net (so the point would be lost anyway) ; it will be fixed in next update.

I don't think this seems to have been fixed yet. Watch the point at 1-0 15-15. The CPU stopped when it was right next to the ball and plenty of other balls on points the CPU just stopped running in were perfectly reachable.

thanks to your .dmo I found a very big nasty bug... :sweat:
It's actually not related to the CPU thinking he can reach the ball or not, it's just a side effect of this bug... :fear:
This bug might also explain the desync I was getting while replaying .dmo .
I guess we're good for a new Build..! I'll wait tomorrow in case I get some additional dreadful bug report... ;)

manutoo, i have a question about to how to use the new gestures, i tried to used it but i don't know which is the keys to press, but i watch that the cpu uses alot

a Build is just a more precise number of version. You can download only the demo or the patch. Both are equivalent.

you get different gestures depending of the forehand you select.

Ok, but is it the same when I download the new version 1.0e or use my current version 1.0d with the new build 87, because I will use the new features (new players stopping when he couldn't reach the ball...)?

I have a problem. I copy the pak02 from the Build 87 in all the data files (i use Sam Mod) and now when I start the game "Wrong version..." :(

The old pak02 was 1 MB and the new pak02 have 9 MB! I use version 1.0d.

Build87 is also v1.0e ; 1st Build of v1.0e was 85 .
The only available download is always the latest Build, which is now Build 88.

EDIT: you have to copy the new TennisElbow.exe also at least.

Sorry, I use version 1.0d and have installed the pak02 from build 88 in the data files!

How must I do now exactly to solve this problem, I use Sam's Mod?

Try to install the patch normally, over your Sam's patch version.

I have now installed the sub build 88 normally and it works. But now most of the mod players have the wrong racket and clothes :(

How can I solve this problem?

reinstall Sam's patch, or at least Players.ini bases from it.
