CPU Cheating?

Postby borrowedtime » 15 Mar 2011, 08:14

How come every time, when the cpu is about to get broken by me, they can pull out extremely good serves (either ace or a serve I can barely get my racquet on)? Even if I return the ball, they can hit loads of winners all of a sudden. This is getting really frustrating.

Hello,

it is actually more or less random ; I guess you just had a bad luck streak... :)

Maybe you get a bit stressed on these break points and do a bit less good returns..? :fear:

I've seen where I was up like 5-1 and all of a sudden, for 2 or 3 games, the CPU player play's like a madman, getting to shots he couldn't before, throwing in great serves, and moving like a jack-rabbit. I figure he's just picking up his game, just like in a real match. Usually that burst of energy doesn't last, but sometimes it does. I don't think it's cheating; it's just part of the game. There are times I've been up 5-1 or 5-2 and lost a set, both in TE and real life :( Not a good feeling, but hey, stuff happens :)

Hey SC Tom. Thanks for your input. I don't feel as frustrated anymore. :) But Lleyton Hewitt in the world tour is playing 10x better than guys like Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, although his stats are much lower than the players I've listed. Don't know how that is possible. :p

I played a singles match yesterday where I took out Nole, Roger, and Rafa with minimal trouble, and then got my butt handed to me by Kosuke Naruse, 6-1 6-3. Who?!? Where the heck did this guy come from? :angry5:

LOL that happens all the time. I hate top spin players. No matter how hard you hit the ball, the ball doesn't go anywhere. I have the most trouble playing Davydenko and Canas. Although Nadal has 100% topspin and has really good ground strokes, I have an easier time with him. :p
