Some suggestions for upcoming updates

General discussions about the 3rd edition of Tennis Elbow

Okay so my ideas are pretty simple (I think).
There has to be an option to hit either a powerful flat shot or a powerful spin shot. I mean when you choose your top spin level it affects all of your shots but it's not like that in real life - players have variety and they tend to hit different kinds of shots and change the pace. The alt+down isn't enough (lacks power).

It would be nice to have different out and fault calls. The judges on court have different voices.

The serve needs a higher kick on the kick one (there's barely any bounce at the moment).

There are barely any grunts of top players - especially in the women's section. I mean I would like a Kvitova, Wozniacki, Ivanovic and Serena grunt in my game (and a clean one, not a noisy cut grunt).

That's it :D

Some basic stuff for u to add is:

Challenge
Net ability for the players

When I mean net ability I mean players moving the legs to volley, going for the ball faster and better, working faster, just like on Top Spin, if u see videos of TS4, players on the net, you'll see they move they have real net abilities... An example on the real life...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLSHSWA5 ... ure=relmfu

On the second video, get the example of when Federer and Tsonga are on the net...

- The ball marks should be lighter, not dark and the ball marks should stay for few seconds on the court..and then slowly dissappear..

- The ball marks should be a little bit bigger and more stretched in lenght when the ball hits the ground..

Sorry for my english, hope you know what I mean..

Thnx!

Maybe a single tournament mode with the possibility to make your personal draw in order to simulate the real tournament?

Yeah we should have the challenge system because realistic line calling does produce errors once in a while, which makes it realistic and is nice when it's in our favour. We can have varying weather conditions which have an effect on matches in real life. Additionally, a major revamp of the Elo system is needed. Also aside from the game itself I'd like the online tour to have wildcards.
Grand Slam - R2(RG '12)
Masters - R3 (IW '12)
TET500 - QF (Valencia '11)
TET250-R2 (Bucharest, Queens '12)
Challenger 125- Q3 (Szczecin '11)
Career High Rank: 75 (05/21/12)
2012 W/L Singles(excluding WO, RL & LR): 5/8 (39%)

We need a blue clay court, like they will play on in the Madrid Masters!

Well i just got my hands on this game and was really taken by it, congratulations guys and keep up the good work. I saw some of the suggestions the other guys made and some are really good while others you can find in other tennis simulation games who put a lot more emphasis on graphics. I didn't have time to read all of the posts so please excuse me if some of my suggestions have already been out there.

I'd like to see more variety on returning serve. I like to play serve and volley and also doubles so serve is all important to me. Here's something interesting i noticed: players never return serve into the net, they either return long/wide or in court. This is a real must-fix as in the real game about 50% of all points won directly from serve go into the net, especially in doubles where service is king and usually the players are quite poor on return. Also i have not seen players being put off balance by serve and return high (to give an example: you can't come to the net to serve and volley and just smash a high ball in, when CP returns it usually is a low ball and you can only do a low volley) or return short (just come forward and put in a short return while the CP is stranded in one side of the court or the center). It would be great if you could give us more variety on returning serve but i don't know if this would be possible due to game engine limitations.

This however should be possible. I've read most guys want more options to customise players and i do agree, sometimes a little thing like that can add a lot more to your pleasure for the game. Here's what i think would be great and would very much like: why not make the players titles screen more attractive? I mean everyone i'm sure likes to look back and see all the titles he's won over the time and that simple list of just having them listed there is kind of ugly. I think it would be very nice if you would have a more interactive menu over there with more details; for example instead of just listing the tournament type, name and year won i think it should also contain the surface, opponent in the final and score. And when i said interactive menu i meant that it would be really cool if you could sort your statistics to show for example your tournaments won by surface type, year, importance etc. Also could make the different tournaments appear in different colours like on the atp tour: gold for masters, silver for atp 500, white for atp 250 etc.

And also please no more shouting fault when the ball lands into the net!

Agreed. I mostly like playing doubles and well the game isn't really realistic at all there, not enough diversity at the net, players just hit the ball back and forth untill one of them hits it wide or into the net
