Player too slow changing direction

Postby Elblows » 03 Jan 2014, 15:28

Great game!

but, I played alot of tennis when I was younger if you're fit and watching the ball it doesnt take aslong as it does to change direction, too much of a delay when changing direction

Can it be sped up slightly?

This helps in the ''contrapierna'' :?:
Is when the CPU sends a ball to a side, you run for it, then you come backwards, and he send the ball again to the same side & you can't change the direction enoughly fast.

Is it the SpeedConversion line?
It's set to 0.50
Should I increase it or lower it?

Elblows,
you can raise SpeedConversion till you're happy with result (close the game before to change it).

What you were saying in Spanish translates to "wrongfooting". If you do the same thing that Manutoo suggested you will deal better with "contrapierna" shots from CPU. I highly disagree with both opinions though, wrongfooting is one fundamental aspect used in thinking man's tennis and you should be able to deal with it simply by sensing when it's being attempted or react quickly enough to counter. The speed is just about fine in the game.

Yeah, i think it too, but sometimes is extremely high, and becomes a little un-realistic.

Nigogu,
X-Panda got it right and I agree that wrong footing is currently realistic enough ; but if some people prefer to lower it (maybe due to some lack of own reflexes), then they can...
