Went too far with volley lobs.
significantly harder -> impossible.
Not even once it landed in. That's not realistic either. (specially because it's not even out by a few cms which would be ok, but it's almost going out of the stadium).

btw, can you do the same with smash lobs and smash drops?

Edit: it was related to the cpu being in the baseline, when I make it come to the net, is rather the same as before.

to make drop shots or top spin shots does not work, or the keyboard or the gamepad.
in any case do not work up and down keys to any of shots.

if any of the players will work up and down keys please say.

I am not sure but I think dtl shots are landing shorter than before and not going deep enough. Its almost impossible to do a dtl winner against Incredi 2-3 player (pb style and 100 counter) now even when i hit on the line.

Why would you change this? It was perfectly fine...not overpowered in any way...

Algo,
I think it's normal to not be able to do a volley-lob on a passing shot.
Smash lobs are easier to do, coz incoming lob is slower than a passing, and there's less change in ball direction on impact.
Smash drop shots seems to be already not too easy and they are very imprecise and not much effective (ie: high bounce), so it's less exploitable ( => .dmo to prove me wrong ;) ).

vamos rafa,
there's no change in the strikes, but if the CPU turns during his run to catch your ball, then he's globally a bit faster than before to reach it (coz turning makes lose significantly less speed than before). If the CPU runs in a straight line to get your ball, then there's no change at all.

Stajus,
it's extremely hard to do a volley-lob on a passing shot in real life (if not impossible), and it was leading to a dropshot -> net -> lob exploit.

Volley lob on a passing shot isn't an issue at all...no one even does that in this game as they'd mostly lose the point  It's about being able to play a volley lob on slower balls, there's no reason not to have that option (it's not that hard to deal with either, it doesn't work well against top players as they react fast and smash it)...

Dropshot -> net -> lob exploit? Really? ATP players do that ALL the time. It isn't a hard shot on slow balls...so if the dropshot was good enough to create a weak reply there's no need to disable lobs  Especially as it's not that hard to deal with at all unless the lob is perfectly deep...quite balanced with real life tennis.

Example:

Some do it on a match point

You'd be better off fixing the baseline vs baseline lobs which still drop inside the court most of the time and players use it occasionally when defending to create an unfair and unrealistic shift in the point's dynamics

P.S. The partners in doubles play some lob volleys at times and while those would go inside the court with a high lob % normally, after this build they might turn into ridiculous lobs into the crowd  So, partners should never play a lob volley in that case, as it's incredibly annoying to have that happen in key moments :fear:

Not sure if you call it a bug or not. But when someone is using a World Tour player in Online Mode its a lot of Desyncs that happens back to back to back. After the first 4 games it did go away but I believe something needs to be changed about that.

Stajus,
You should still be able to do that exact sequence in Build 93 : good drop shot, slow response of opponent, and you lobbing from the service line.
What you shouldn't be able to do anymore is : average drop shot, decent ball speed from your opponent, you near the net lobbing without difficulty.

Did you see your doubles partner home running a volley-lob so far ..? :fear: (if you get one early in the match, send me the .dmo , it'll be easier to fix it)

Serena Williams Fan,
send me your player .ini (1st slot of Training Club = p_0.ini in the saved games folder) and a .dmo of your online match, if possible (and even better : the .dmo of your opponent).

For the game, it's not your opponent's connection that dropped, but the connection ; so it can't tell if it's your wrong or your opponent's wrong.

I guess thats fixed, but now the crowd gets disappointed (right away) once the ball hits the net on a return (on a break point).

Seems ok ;) Didn't hit any lob volleys out in singles or doubles myself, and my partner lob-volleyed once in doubles and it was inside the court  So the change isn't drastic I think...at least if you use that shot in reasonably well chosen situations :fear:

This reputation thing isnt a bad idea, but way too many people give me bad rep just because they lost to me  . sometimes, i join someones game and leave after a point due to high latency, and i would still get bad rep from them  .( that shouldnt be allowed, right? i mean ppl should only rate you only after the match ) can you make it so that we can see what rep the opponent gives u right after the match? its just frustrating when i win a match and i give my opponent good rep and he gives me bad rep

Serena Williams Fan,
how can you know your opponent had a World Tour saved player ?

Maria Sharapova,
it's the wanted effect ; before they were reacting after the 2nd ball bounce and it was feeling way too late ; now, it's more natural, no ?

Stajus,
looks like I reached my target goal on 1st try, this time..! :o

Raz,
I want to avoid the situation : "I'll give you good rep if you give me good rep, but if you give me bad rep I'll give you bad rep" ; this would totally bias the system. It's what had Ebay in the past, but since a couple of years, to avoid that, they just removed the ability for the sellers to vote for their customers.
You got 4 neg votes, which gives you the #1 rank (with another player) for the most neg votes received. Maybe you can try to say you're sorry but it's lagging too much before quitting ?
Anyway, if you leave right away the match, the neg vote doesn't count as much as after several games played.
