Kuga isn't a Mod anymore

Postby manutoo » 13 Oct 2014, 05:23

Hello,

after an in-depth investigation, it turned out that Kuga & $her@z were the same person.
Some of the proofs :
- Wimbledon final "Kuga vs $her@z" never happened => OT_ViewTournament.php?Trn=510
- Cincinnati semi-final "Kuga vs $her@z" was only a "7/5" instead of "6/4 2/6 7/5", and both players had the same IP => OT_ViewTournament.php?Trn=537
- Rome semi-final "Kuga vs $her@z" never happened => OT_ViewTournament.php?Trn=490

So $her@z is banned forever from the Forum ; Kuga's ban will be decided by the remaining Tour Mods ; and both will be sent to the bottom of the rankings (I'm working on the technicality of this ;) ).

Kuga & $her@z (if he exists) still have a way to prove that our conclusions are wrong by each taking a static IP ; it seems it'd require only a phone call and some modem configuration : http://blog.paktron.net/2012/08/configu ... dress.html and playing online at the same time.

After what mod Kuga/$her@z(same guy) did to me in Shanghai doubles, this is hardly surprising :yes:

Good riddance , and now some of the players wouldn't be overprotected like before I guess :lol:

MarkChan,
I had checked & vetted Kuga decision about your match. The problem is that you were not aware of the rules and thus you didn't contest your opponent's leaving in the correct time.

Unbelievable :help: So are these past matches going to be replayed? This is so not fair to those who actually followed the rules and legitimately worked hard to win their matches only to get beaten illegally by someone's double account. What a travesty :sad3: Some compensation is definitely needed here.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. How wasn't Mark aware of the rules? He even explicitly stated them out in his post :lol: One, he wasn't notified of the potential departure before the match started. And two, there was no consent given by Mark for that departure nor was there a valid reason to do so (ie. it doesn't fall under the reason of lag. And if you know you're busy studying/doing assignments: 1. Why play in the first place. 2. Why not notify the opponent about this before the match). So what gives?

And what's wrong with Mark deciding to come back some hours later just in case to see what his opponent was up to? And isn't it funny that as soon as he left (well after the specified rematch time by his opponent - which Mark didn't EVEN agree on in the first place but still waited anyway out of doubt), his opponent replies so soon after? Sounds pretty odd to me :thinking:

I don't have to contest. As long as you didn't agree in the in-game chat to let your oppoent leave before he or she retires, the rule is broken by the opponent.

You don't have to be rude to contest everything. No one wants to be rude to scold the opponent for leaving. I just wish players have better sportsmanship anyway. Hope the new mod will fix it. :lol:

And what about my opponent being disrespectful telling me I have the worst style of play when she is having a tough match? not ban-worthy? Maybe I should do the same next time when I have a tough match. :thinking:

She is breaking two rules IMO. But whatever, at least people from now on will be cautious of her. :lol:

Re: Kuga isn't a Mod anymore

LetsGoBro & MarkChan,
this issue is the post : topic37-19739.php#p202391 .
It was written immediately after the match was suspended, and it's a clear consent to go on later. If he had wrote : "vampireZattitude left without my consent, I want this to be counted as a retirement", then that would have been a different story. (*)
There's also another issue : it's that Kuga didn't use the built-in RL system because he wanted to raise the chance of Markchan (to do a 50/50). Maybe he cheated the result, maybe not ; I guess at this point there's no evidence either way.

And no, we're not going to replay the whole season... The only changeable thing at this point is the Davis Cup final (as PK is in final). I can't talk for Algo, but I have a strong guess that he'll put in final the country that lost against PK... ;)

(*) Quick tip: don't sweat on the commas in the rules ; here we're respect the spirit of the rules, not necessarily the letter ; if you can't get that, then don't even try to argue... In the present case, it means that everything that is written in the rules must be done in case a player leaves the match and then contest the protestation of his opponent.
From another point of view, instant consent then delayed protestation = possible trick, so it won't count.

Is it possible for mods change RL ration to 99.9% - 0.1% to hide the W.O.?
Every active player knows Kuga aka Sheraz's close relationship to VZ
I wouldn't be surprised if he did that :lol:

I dare to say that Kuga wasn't even change ration, he just write score as RL (I mean You vs. VZ Shanghai). Hope now there will be no protection and "close relationships" between players, and its possible to change ration.
