Yep, she/he is 17XX ELO.

But on the other side, Sorana's style of playing suits me probably. Even at the begging when I was elo<900 Sorana was the only guy above 1500 i won games.

Actually I was like a her mirror, but I tried to put a more risk, long balls and then short angles. She plays a lot of balls 'against move'. In first set I was destroyed by that, but then I tried to not running as much. Also after few her dropshots I learned how to handle it so 50% of net game isnt good.
I must polish my service. Today first service was about 50%, and efficiency of second service in first set was below 20%.

I won fast breaks in 2nd and 3rd set. That made Sorana nervous I suppose.

My 1st serve too is near 60% and i met a player who realized 92% a 1st serve in 6 serve games !!! (190 km average, not just B1 or B2)
I think 65/70 % is enough (2/3) with a 2nd well lifted

i try to train a lot vs CPU and the best solution is to offer a varied serve.

Try to train in Elite mode because :
- it's more realistic (serve slower, easier to return)
- it's the tournament official mode

I think that TE online game is mentally game too ;-] having 1serv below 50% make me frightened that I can lost my games.

When I played practice wih guys <1000 I usually used my two 2nd services. But now I realized that this isnt enough for better players and even in practice I must do my 100% service.

How did you realized that I play 'simulation' ;-). My main aim is future and challangers so i practice simulation. But that will change someday.

100% serve is just impossible (coz of % in fair play)

Aiming 65/70 % is a good target but try to train different kinds of serve : kicked; lifted, sliced, on T, in Corner, sometimes B1, sometimes B1+B2 for 2nd serve

Never the same !

If you play too much in simulation, you will lost most of your marks on elite. Pass asap on elite mode

Guys, what should i do when i meet topspinner on clay.

5 minutes ago I lost 1-6 0-6 with defensive topspinner on clay. Each ball returned to me easily. I tried to put more risk and more but it only causes unforced error (In second set 16UE and I lost 4-24 in points). That was really painful because the guy was 400 elo and im 1300. I feel totally rubbish.

// One of players helped me a lot in chat after match. I dont remember your name, but I know you look at this thread. Once again thank You my friend for all clay advices.

It is possible....cuz my opponent did it for 25 times with nearly solid 200 kmph serving throughout the match. But my return is too beast  Here is that match with the stats. Check out!

Hi, guys. This thread is transforming into some kind of diary of newbie who really really want to be a pro. I'm going to wrote there messages about my progress (or regress), my doubts, my frustrations and questions. I hope that will help me (as some of you are very helpfull in match talks, here in this thread, or in skype) and will be helpfull for another newbies who will join the tour. Its much easier when you see case when somebody was as useless as you and then his work brings some small (i wrote 'slamm' insted of 'small' by mistake) success.

Today I finished Genua Challanger.

Q1: def Sorana Cirstea (1) 2/6 6/2 6/3
Q2: def D.Hristev w.o
Q3: def Andrej Jankov (5) w.o
R1: def NikolaPavlov w.o
R2: lost SaleJJ (8) WO

I gave walkover today to SaleJJ. Im terrible clayplayer (during whole Genua preparations my ELO went from 1350 to 1100) and i'll be able to play today for only one hour. RL wasnt be nice cause I played in past against SaleJJ and know he is good player and he deserves the win. Also Im a little fed up with clay ;-) and need time to prepare for next two indoor tournaments. I had a lot of luck with all those w.o but on the other hand that would be my first points. Also I achieved great result against Sorana. That was my huge match, I was concentrated as hell and had nothing to lose. Two days ago we played with Sorana again and I lost 1-6 ;-). That was my second tournament, after 10 days of practicing and I achieved main draw - Im really lucky guy.

Next time I'll play in Russia. Now Im working on my skills on the new surface, new set up, and as Rpha recomended me I'm polishing my footwork with CPU. Hope to see you there ;-)

A little upgrade. I finished my performance in St.Petersburg.

Q1: def fenix_boy (3) w.o.
QF: def S.Amine w.o.
R1: lost Mido 1-6 7-6(2) 3-6

I was preparing for this sufrace and tournament 1 and 1/2 of week. When I started I was 1100 ELO and now im between 1400-1500. I tried some types of players, some stats but to play tour matches on this surface i choosed powerline hiter. I have huge problem with finishing actions. If there is good defensive opponent returning each ball im the first causing mistake. Dont know what should I do to make more winners. During two matches I made stats about how many hits need me and my opponent to achieve winner. For me that was 6.4, for opponents 3.3. And thats average. As a powerline hitter i made huge amount of mistakes, so Im afraid of hitting short accelerated balls. Now, good defenser with elo 1200 can destroy me easily.

About my match with Mido. Mido is ranked about 130. He plays solid counter. During whole match I was W:48 UE:42 and he W:38 UE:24.In first set I was out of luck. Started with breaking chances, then lost my serve and nerves too. Quick 1-6. In second set i tried to put even more risk. That made some 'turns'. Firstly i lead *2-0 then *2-2 -> *4-2 -> 4-5*. After that break he was serving for the match and even had one match point. But then I discovered that this is probably the very first player that cant answer my lobs ;-] (i even forgot about lobing dropshots, cause in practice i always lost points via smatch.) I made break and won tiebreak 7-2. In third set my service was interrupted by little frozens. I won first game but then lost five. That was 2-5* but then i saved match point by huge cross shot and won that games. In last game, my service disappeared. I lost 3-6. Kudos for Mido, he played certainly what I dislike. No stupid power in shots and many slices.

That match was in my range. I can do well in such matches. I must have only find way to handle with great defenders. That makes me so frustrated when i should make 3-4 winners shot to really do winner. On the other hand, i feel like there is only about 5 guys in MD of each tournament i can be competitive to. Hope to have good draw in Bangkok.

I'm in depression.

Almost 400 played matches and I still play like walking shit. I didnt have so many expectations about my game after month of playing... But losing to everone >1300 and being bageled by each guy >2000 is hard.

Im 1300 elo (was above 1500, but today I was mentally destructed and gave 3x W.O. just to finish match as soon as possible to avoid my anxiety grow.)

This game is about fact that each one has kind of level he can achieve. My isnt enough to play here with fun. My each session is concluding in being so sad and bring so many crapfull thoughts. Im fed up with playing anonymous Player1 with elo >2000 who after beating me 60 write 'lol lol lol, you had 0 winners' in response of my 'i wish my play was 10% of your'. That hurts. There arent many guys on my level. Many of them aer developing into pro, many forgot about this game few days afer registration.

Guys I lost next match in tour. That could have been my first semifinal of Future. I was so so close.

6-2 6-7(2) 2-6 to Mackoo.

That 2nd set made me so nervous and i lost quickly 4 games in a row in third one. One good thing about this match: still I won more points than my opponent. I must find way to handle pushers, cause Mackoo after first set realized that offensive isnt his best side and started to slice slice slice ;-)

I have also one thing to complain about. It always nice to response for your 'that was nice match, thank You' instead of lefting game as quick as possible and enter the result.
Particularly when you wait for you opponent for 4 hours, and he appears one hour before deadline for match. I appreciate fact that someone spend time on play with me.

See you in Shangai. I participate in qualifiations.

//In my 5 played matches in tour I won 1, 2 lost easily, and 2 in three sets.

Guys, I just finished my Stockholm play.
R1: def fenix_boy (rank 127) 6/3 6/7(4) 3/1 ret.
R2: lost G.Simon (rank 6) 7/6(2) 6/0

I passed my depression period. I played a lot great practices this week, and 2 great tour matches. Im proud of both of them.
Against fenix because I was able to find some strong in my mentality after I lost 2nd set (in this set I won easily all my service games, and in 5/6 of fenix games i had break poinst that i didnt win.). Then he did amazing tiebreak and I lost despite I won more points in that set. That was my second win against higher ranked player.
Against Gilles I'm satisfied with my concentration. Gilles gave ma a loooooot of hand ;-). Thanks for that, that made me fun and teach a lot. Even in that 6/0 set there were 36-22 in points. Once again thanks Gilles for making match competitive ;-)

My next stop is Valencia and probably qualifications there. Hope I ll be able to show good shape too.
