Found a few more problems:
1. At the end of the season, I find that several 14 year olds have played 40 tournaments on the Junior tour!
Not only is that way too many to be physically sustainable, but my own 14 year old player is limited to 10 tournaments a year by her federation.
Surely, they must have the same limitations
2. At the start of a new vanilla game, with no customization involved, all the top Junior players are entering the qualifiers for the Australian Open (I've only checked for that tournament) when the players in the middle of the rankings are allowed straight into the Main draw.
In that test game, only 2 of those Top20 players made it through to the Main draw
Now maybe this is just a side effect from the fact the rankings in the first year is artificial, or there's something wrong
3. After 3 seasons, as usual, I find my players in debt.
That's always been the case in previous TEM1 games so I didn't pay much attention, but I then realized that because there are no money prize on the Junior tour, the federations are giving players grants to help cover the costs of the competing in tournaments.
They even increase the grants according to the max. number of tournaments that juniors are allowed to play, but the grants are nowhere near enough to cover those costs.
Year 1, I played 3 tournaments, and was -$13K for the year
Year 2, I played 10 tournaments and was -18K for the year
Year 3, I played 11 tournaments and was -23K for the year
I only had basic expenses (Eco class trips, 1 star hotel, coach staying at the academy) and apart from the Australian Open, always only competed in my home continent.
The grant just about covers the cost of equipment for the year. Is this intended?
