Players have real stats & how difficult is the game ?

Postby shanek » 30 Mar 2015, 08:17

Hey, I have the demo and not really sure how you enter any tournaments? Is that possible on the demo version. I am interested in buying the full version but i just have a few questions.
1. are all the players real stats updated on the full version? atm fed-nada-djok ect have no stats. eg career games/titles all start from 0 on the demo.
2. and how difficult are the levels. could someone please give me some feedback on how their careers went or are going. in terms of titles, grandslams? i glanced through this forum briefly but was hoping to find a thread where people are comparing their players careers so i had an idea on how it can pan out.

Hello,

sorry, I missed your message at 1st... :sweat:

0- => "Game's Quick Start Instructions" paragraph here => https://www.managames.com/tennismanager/tennisgame.html
1- everybody starts with 0 tournament played at start of the game ; stats of other players are counted only during your career
2- in Incredible difficulty level, you should still able to win 1 or 2 slams per year, but more will be extremely difficult ; you can also coach much less strong players if you don't want to have any chance to win slams with them

I always play on the hardest level, but do not recommend that for beginning players. I do not think I have ever played more than five years of a player's career. In that time I can win two or three Grand Slam singles and ten or more Grand Slam doubles.

I like to play for the 'lesser' challenges. I enjoy doubles play, and I always volunteer all of my players for the Davis Cup/Federation Cup. You want to be patriotic, don't you? I routinely have all four of my girls (I play the women's circuit) in the top ten in doubles, and not infrequent occupy all of the top four slots. :applause:

In singles I managed to get 'my' girl ranked #1 only once, for two years, but I have gotten recruited players into the top five nearly every time I play, including a couple of brief appearances with different girls at #2. :dance:

Keeping the recruited players is very difficult, as they are never satisfied and want every year to improve their ranking, which is often not possible. I have never been able to re-sign a recruited player a fourth time — maximum four years managing them, and often less. :sweat:
