Hello
According to my research (tennis web pages, ATP players opinions..), if court surfaces were classified in order to bounce speed rating from 1 (slowest) to 5 (fastest), we would have:
Surfaces--> Level
Red Clay -------> 1-1.5 (depending on weather and grain)
Indoor clay (played in some challengers)--->1-1,5
Green Clay (played in a couple of WTA tournaments only)-->1,5-2
Ace Rebound, greenset and porous Hard (concret)---> 2,5-3,5
Indoor hard (greenset, often)---> 3-3,5
Acrylic (Decotourf II, plexipave)---> 3,5-4
Other Hard courts (acrylic are usually faster than non-acrylic)--->2,5-4
Indoor capet (taraflex, often)------> 4-4,5
Grass, artificial grass -----------> 4,5-5 (depending on weather)
Main tournaments:
Australia Open (Ace Rebound) ---·> about 3
Roland Garros, Montecarlo, Rome, Hamburg (Red Clay) ---->1-1,5
Miami, Montreal (Concrete)---> about 3 (they are not too fast)
Indian Wells (Plexipave)-----> 3,5-4 (faster than Miami according to some players)
Madrid TMS (Indoor greenset)---> about 3-3,5
US Open, Cicinnati (Decotourf) ---> about 3,5-4 (significantly faster than other hard courts)
Paris TMS (Indoor Taraflex) ----> about 4,5 (it is said it is very fast)
Wimbledon (Grass) ----> 4,5 -5 (the more hot weather, the more slow)
It is just my opinion according to my sources, not accurate values anyway...
I hope to be useful.
Regards,
