I can't save [the game in World Tour]

Postby Norberto » 20 Jan 2006, 18:47

Hello Manutoo,

After ending my first match in the Tournament Mode, I go to my character screen, then I press 'save' button, well, when I press the first (u other) slot to save, the game 'jumps' to the previous screen...so I can´t save my matches!...

What am I doing wrong?

Hello Norberto,

it's normal, when you click on a slot, it saves the game and goes back to the character sheet.
If you want to check your game was really saved, just open the save menu again, and you'll see the details of your saved game in the slot, instead of "-- empty --".

Hi again Manutoo!

The problem was in the...PROFILE!. I have just changed the profile to other typed by me and know my matches are saved as you say...but to be honest I don't know what is the profile for...why are different profiles to choose, what is their influence in the game?

Another question:

I hope not to be too hard, sorry, but about court surfaces, you said when TE2005 1.0a was released:

A new court: 'indoor hard', (a surface more slow than indoor synthetic between hard and outdoor synthetic)

So...the order from slowest to fastest would be: clay, hard, BG hard, indoor hard, synthetic, indoor synthetic and grass...indoor hard is slower than outdoor synthetic isn't it?

If you want, I can help you to fix some surfaces to tournaments according to my souces (ATP and Tournament web pages) for the next releases...would be possible edit the speed rating of each surface?

Thanks a lot for your help, and I hope to be useful to you as well!

Hello,

[Saved games]
you were using the default profile, and then you created another one, and now it's working ?

Profiles are intended to allow several persons to play on the same computer, each using his own settings, and having his own saved games.
Except that, it has no influence on the game.

[Surface]
Oops, that's right, I just checked and my memory failed last time; the order is indeed : ..., BG hard, indoor hard, synthetic, ...

If you have the speed ratings for each surface in real life, I'll be glad to know them.
If you can find the elasticity and resistance coefficients then I'll be more than glad to know them ! ;) (in physics, it's 'e' and 'k').

Hello

I had opened other profile and changed other advanced options so savind didn't work...I have installed game again....and now is going fine. Thank you.

One question...when I win a classification round I earn just 8 (instead 10 in a final draw match) points for training, and if I loose I earn 12 (instead 25)...is it ok?....and why in some next week tournaments I have 5 days for taining and in others just 4 (after losing first match in the pervous week main draw tournament)?

Hello,

yup, it's normal, Qualification matches earn only 50% of the final draw matches training points.

Some tournaments begin on Monday, some other on Tuesday. So depending of that, you can have a different number of training days from one tournament to another.
The number of training days is also limited by your current amount of training points.
