Nice update. However, the game seems much faster. I like how normal and topspin shots seem faster, but it seems like the game is a faster than before. Was anything done to the court bounce and or/shots in general? It seems like every shot has a bit of topspin on it.

no, the game speed hasn't been touched, so except if I did a mistake, it shouldn't be different from before... I just quickly tested, and I felt it was same than before... :roll:

Hmm, it just kind of seems that the ball "dies" a bit after hitting the court, especially on the hard courts, where in the previous versions, the ball didn't "die" after the bounce; it went more through the court.

it has been tuned, but back to last September, so if you just updated since last August, then it's normal u notice a difference...

I can see a difference since the last update in January. The acceleration shots seem to have a lot of topspin and dip. And the ball bounces real fast and seems to bounce lower than normal (it seems a bit unnatural). I notice this really on the blue-green cement.
When I play online with the latest version, it seems ok (same as last version), but when I play against the cpu, it is very different. Seems the speed is multiplied by 1.5x normal.
Perhaps extra topspin was inadvertently implemented? But then again, it only happens when I play cpu.

I guess it's coz before both BH & FH were done using the FH skill. Check that your BackHand & ForeHand skills are different, and thus, give different speed for the acceleration...

Hmm...it still happens.

The bounce is really different from the previous version. Was anything in the gameplay tweaked? Strange that this only happens when playing the cpu. Tho, it does seem that normal shot and topspin shot are faster, so maybe this could be the issue? Maybe inadvertent side-effect? Please look into this.
Does anyone else notice this?

Hi Manutoo, I see this also when playing against the computer. The bounce of the ball is really quick, and it seems to jump off the court faster, both during the strike of acceleration and after the bounce, like there is extra topspin added. It seems a little unnatural and it's kind of like warp speed.
If you could look into this, that would be great. I like the fact that you added the starting out in a tiebreak immediately feature, but the gameplay feels different since the last version and I have trouble getting used to it.

I'd need more details...

What courts ? all ? or just 1 ? or just some ?
What strikes ? forehand ? backhand ? both ? what % in the skills ?
Does it happen in warm up ? match ? World Tour ? But not online ?

I just checked for the 3rd time, and everything seems normal... With a 0% in the skill, the trajectory of the acceleration is surely different than with 100% : more curved, and less speed, thus the top spin effect is quite more visible.

I notice this everywhere, except for online play. It seems to happen on every court surface. First, I kept everything at my usual levels, then set everything to 100% and still notice this no matter which level I put it at.
The gameplay just seems sped up from previous. Perhaps it was due to changing/correction of the FH BH skill calculation?
Would it be possible for you to create the install file with all of the latest updates, except for the correction of the skill calculation bug? I would be more than happy to help test/narrow down what could be the cause.

Brad1981, could you try to install the game in a new directory, and if it's still the same result, would it be possible for u to record the game with Fraps : www.fraps.com , and then upload the video somewhere ( on www.youtube.com if you don't have another option).

And during the record, press "F5" to show the skills of your player...

Yes, I still get the same result after installing to a new directory.
I will try to record video clip in next couple days, as I will be out of town until Sunday.
I also noticed that you added a "Nadal-type" shot with slice and topspin. Perhaps this could have altered the gameplay also? Kind of like an unnoticed side effect. I'm thinking it's either this or the correction of the FH BH stat bug.
In the meantime, I have decided to go back to the previous version when playing against the cpu.

I tried recording video, but it is choppy and wouldn't have really showed the difference much anyway. The difference is subtle but noticeable since I play all the time.
I wish there was something that can be done because it is not as fun with this new gameplay. But the good thing is that it doesn't happen during online games. Since it happens to just playing against the cpu, would it be possible to change it back to the previous version gameplay? I'm thinking that the adding of the "Nadal shot" as stated in the change log probably could be the cause of this and had the unintended side effect of affecting the entire gameplay.
