Great Game with a few disadvantages

Postby Clay » 18 Jul 2005, 05:47

+ Realistic feeling
+ Addicting
+ Stylish 2D-sprites
(+ Funny movement when moving the player backwards  )

- Catastophic menudesign!
- Gaudy, unprofessional presentantion
- Undeversified and calculable enemies

Bottomline is: Great Game!

Hello,

thank you for your comments, but, hum, the :
"- Catastophic menudesign!
- Gaudy, unprofessional presentation"
are for TE2004 or TE2005 ??

Yes, I was talking about "Tennis Elbow 2005"; additionally I recognized a new "bug": I can easily bring the CPU-player to go to the net and he just smashes the ball straight to me at the baseline. I don't have to do anything (no move, hit) until he hits so strong that the ball gets out.

It really seems that your work stays uncompensated (rebates, hosting-expenses etc.) and you obviously code for the love of game-programming: I really appreciate your work!

ouch!
I'm afraid to imagine what words you would have used to qualify the menus of TE2004 ! ;)

> [...] until he hits so strong that the ball gets out

Humm... If it's in "very easy" mode, it's done on purpose. On "easy" mode against a defender, it's still ok, but it should not happen 100% of the time (it should be possible about 50% of the time). If you play in another difficulty mode, let me know it and the kind of your opponent too, and I'll have a closer look.

> It really seems that your work stays uncompensated

yup, I clearly earn less than in a normal employee programmer job, but all the good comments, and the freedom of this work are really cheerleading ! :)
